Eggi is a charming, serene village of a few hundred people located 4 km north of Spoleto. By the way, it's not pronounced like the word "egg" -- it's a soft "G" sound.

Eggi is locally famous for its Sagra degli Asparagi in late April -- a week-long party where the rest of the world is invited to taste regional specialties made with wild asparagus.

There's bus service to and from Spoleto, as well as to other villages and cities in the area.
