If you were of a mind to start a revolution in Turkey, just put up a "NO FISHING" sign on the bridges across the Golden Horn.

Every day hundreds of fishermen gather on both sides of the Galata and Atatürk Bridges to try their luck. And they're always catching, and eating and selling a variety of local fish, such as lüfer, uskumru, zargana and levrek. (Don't ask me what these are in English.) But as if these names weren't confusing enough - they change as the fish gets older. So when a lüfer is small, it's called a çinekop and when it's all grown up it's a kofana.
