Take the "A" Train

The Subte, Buenos Aires's subway system, opened in 1913, making it the first in all of Latin America. The wooden-seated cars of Linea "A" go back to that time.

There are 5 lines, all designed to get people from outlying areas into the city center. But there is no interconnectivity between the lines so it's not all that useful if you want to go someplace other than the center. But at 1.10 pesos (30¢) per ride, it's another Buenos Aires bargain.
