Restaurant 13 is a magnificent eatery just down the block from Laurie's house. The menu contains pages and pages of wonderfully exotic (and inexpensive) dishes -- corn and crab soup; squid with lotus stems; beef and shrimp salad.... The backdrop here is the Saigon River which flows one way or the other depending on the tide. Barges, tugs, hydrofoils, and small row boats all ply these waters. In this photo, Laurie's house would be just behind JoJo's head. Downtown Saigon is that way too.
