This onomatopoetically named vehicle is a tuk-tuk and it is by far the most popular form of transport in Laos. Smaller ones like this can handle about 5 people, the larger ones up to 12. Decorations are provided by the driver.

The official Laotian currency is the Kip, but US dollars are always welcomed. Tuk-tuk drivers will take a foreigner anywhere in the city for $1. For locals the price is negotiable but usually ends up around 40¢.
