These skeins of silk have all been dyed naturally, using leaves, vines, bark, fermented mud, ashes, onions, insects, limestone, iron and other ingredients in various combinations and for different lengths of time.

You get the sky blue color with one dip into the indigo vat. Four dips will get you navy blue. The purple - silver colors come from sappanwood. Onions give you the gold tint. Or you can simply leave the silk in natural white or cream.
