Goa... Goa... Gone

"If only I could have been here 20, or even 15 years ago," travelers lament. "There were no tourists, no getaway bungalows, no all-night disco parties. Just small fishing villages, a warm ocean, and beaches lined with coconut palms."

The Arabian Sea continues to wash the shore. Men carry-on their centuries-old fishing tradition. Palm groves still line the shore behind the dunes. But in the past two decades Goa's beaches have been "discovered", and life here, at least during the high season of November through March, will never be the same.
