The Lives of Mughals

Babur, a muslim chieftain from Afghanistan, swept into north India in the early 1500s, defeating the Sultan of Delhi. When the time came Babur's son, Humayun, took over but was soon forced into exile by yet another potentate - but he managed to return to power just before he died and then his 13-year-old son, Akbar, took over and made marriage alliances with all his Rajput enemy clans.
